Vytelus, the Dragon Lord

Overview

Vytelus, the Dragon Lord is the final boss of Gilded Skies, encountered in Room 10. As the leader of the Dracani army and the realm’s last dragon lord, Vytelus is a powerful master of Lumenflame magic. He appears as a tall humanoid Gildenscale clad in purple and gold mage robes, equipped with a spiked helmet, a small white tuft of chin hair, massive dragon wings, and a giant glowing staff. His battle kit consists of eight distinct moves, including one passive ability.

Attacks

Vytelus Red Balls

Every ~2-3 seconds, Vytelus will passively summon red orbs from the edges of the arena. These orbs will explode, dealing 2.5x boss AoE damage to all players nearby if any player gets into contact with them, while inflicting stun (only on the person who makes contact) and Anti-Healing effects. This attack is passive. The damage is 1.1B on Insane. The damage is 1.6B on Nightmare.

Flame Barrage

Vytelus targets a random player with a straight fire line (dealing 7x+ boss damage), followed by horizontal beams (1.6x boss damage). The damage is 2.5B on Insane. The damage is 4B on Nightmare.

Spiral Snake

Meanwhile, a yellow orb will spawn at a random player, releasing spiraling circles (a similar fashion with Odin Reincarnation's passive ability), while also inflicting stun and the Anti-Healing debuff if hit. The damage is 500M on Insane. The damage is 800M on Nightmare.

Flashing Circles

After that, three cyan circles will flash once, one by one, which warns player to stay inside the circle's range before Vytelus does his area attacks (For example, after all three circles finished flashing, go to the first flashing circle area, and go to the next flashing circle area after the first area attack is done). The circle's locations are completely random, but may be memorized using the terrain; failing to do so makes them take at least 8x boss damage. The damage is 4.5B on Insane. The damage is 6.8B on Nightmare.

Purple Circles

During the Flashing Circle's dodging process, purple curved circles will appear at the first area attack, stunning players if hit (Similar to Sangor, the Bloodthirsty's Blood Circles and also Archpriest Kiryne's Lumenflame Circles but denser). The damage is 500M on Insane. The damage is 800M on Nightmare.

Lumenflame Walls

After that, Vytelus will summon a few fire walls that move along the arena. Players will have to find and go through the gap in order to survive. The fire walls will deal high amounts of rapid damage towards to the player by just touching it once. The damage is 600M x 0.1 Seconds on Insane. The damage is 800M-1.1B x 0.1 Seconds on Nightmare.

Color Burst Strike

Vytelus's next ability shares a similar method with Odin Reincarnation's colored beams in Northern Lands. There will be three zones consisting of a purple triangle, yellow circle, and a cyan diamond. Whatever shape is above the player must correspond with one of the zones. Players will only have four seconds to enter the correct zone before Vytelus finishes channeling. After the four seconds, an explosion will occur, damaging players that is not in their correct zone. The damage is 5B on Insane. The damage is 7.5B on Nightmare.
