Arch-Mage

Overview

The Arch-Mage is the second mini-boss of the player in King's Castle, in the fifth room. They carry a purple Celestial Fire Staff, wear an Arch-Mage Set with a hood instead of a crown, and have a purple Innervate effect.

The Arch-Mage is second in command of the King's army. The encounter starts once a player enters the room, or if a player died on the way in.

Attacks

Explosive Books

Throughout the fight, AoE circles with books hovering above them appear at random across the room. They take far longer to explode than the Arch-Mage's other attacks. This attack is passive.

Arch Beam

Usually the first attack used. It fires a large magic line at the closest player regardless of how much damage they have done or whether they have taunted him. It repeats after two seconds, then again after three more, on a two-to-three second cycle.

Arch Grid

Every two Arch Beams, a grid of small lines fires from all sides across the whole room before he casts another beam. There is usually a rectangle or square between the lines to dodge into, and it repeats about every five seconds.
